E N Y A
At the edge of the lake, with the forest just a few hundred meters behind her, she was slowly walking around in the water, just high enough for it to reach her knees. Every now and then, she lowered her head and tasted the water, sweet and cold against her lips and throat. The trees was about to bloom out, and flowers had begun to pop out of the ground, although they had yet to blossom, but this would be a magnificent place to see when they did. She could even see small sprouts under the water surface, the beginning of lily pads. It was an unusually warm spring day, so the water was cooling, even though she didn't want to wet herself all over.
She had just recently got all the winter coat off, so once again her light blue roan coat was shiny and silky. her white markings was prefect white and clean and fully visible, and her partially white and black tail curled and dragged in the water behind her, long as it was.
She had blue eyes and a blaze between hose eyes, so she was a striking young mare, but the look in her eyes wasn't that of a happy young mare. She was sad, and you could easily see that, since she thought that she was alone at the lake and forest. In truth, she had reasons for being sad so deep in her heart, even though she mostly was that funny, nice mare with attitude to the surface. She could even try to boss around her brother once in a while, she was older than him, but he was taller, so she always felt like the younger of them, even though she tried to boss him around a little. They looked like eachother a little bit, but their markings were very different. While he was a blue roan with white markings like paint had been splashed on him from underneath, she had tobiano markings over the neck and spine, and a few sabino markings on the jaws, and she had blue eyes. But looking at them, there was often no doubt that they were related, but few believed them when she said that she was the older sibling. Well, not her problem.
She didn't realize how delicate and eerie looking she was, walking around in the water like that, her tail floating behind her, water dripping from her pink and black lips, daintily taking steps in the water like she was afraid of splashing around and make sounds.
Maybe she was so quite because she was thinking so much at the moment. Her head was spinning with memories and thoughts that seemed to take over her mind completely, therefor the sad look in her eyes. She was thinking about her memories, the one thing that happened in her past that had caused her to be likes this. The stallion who had broken her heart so brutally. She felt it like she had opened her heart for him at that time, and he had just stepped on it with his hooves, making a big mess of it. Not even her brother knew all of this. She had told him just a bit of it, but refused to say anymore, she hadn't been ready for it, and no one else knew anything, she didn't trust them that much, not yet. And not many suspected anything either, since she mostly seemed to be so fun, passionate and full of attitude. She could talk a stallion down to his knees if he tried anything stupid, she could play like a little filly, but she never opened her heart again, and never showed anyone her sad side, except now, at that was just because she thought that she was alone.
