Nearly the center of the pennensula, in the deeper regions of Makaan, a wetlands resides that is aptly named the Wastelands. Muggy at most times, these lands are not for the weak of heart. The ground is almost always soggy, and sinkholes are known to appear out of no where. When the rains hit, this place usually floods, and aligators, panthers, andacondas, as well as other animals, call these lands home. While the Wastelands invite some, to most this place is known as one's last destination, for those who come in nearly come out.

Located in one of the stranges places, a large Cyprus tree holds a place of saftey in the mostly-dangerous lands of the Makaan. This Cyprus is almost always surrounded by water, but the on-average girth-high waters are nothing that a horse cannot wade through, provided that there are not hungry predators patrolling around. The large, and almost island-like plod of land is plentifu in vegetation and expands enough to house a few horses comfortably. After surviving only part of the Makaan, the Great Cyprus is always a welcomed sight.
