No New Posts Redra

A new installment to the land, the late last King (before Eztli) of the Mael named this sunken dried bed of sand and clay after a mare he'd become fond of. She was a Gypsy of sorts, a nomad. Quickly into his life, too quickly gone. Killed by one of the snakes that inhabit the area, Redra died a slow death at the base of this sunken bank. It rained that night, and the clay around it eroded and a descended. This area holds water when it rains, but one should take care. The clay becomes slippery and it would be a slow death if one should get stuck and left to die with the mare of the sinkhole.

No New Posts Laet

Inside the labyrinth itself, Laet is the twisting and winding area of paths and intercepts. Perhaps the most confusing area of the Mael, horses easily get lost and head further into the labyrinth, where they either die from dehydration, starvation, or encountering a starving predator. One would be crazy to live here, but one's displeasure is another's treasure.

No New Posts Inaus

One of the only clear spots inside the labyrinth, Inaus is similar to a miniature desert. Sand, rock, orange-red clay, and a lot of sun. Barren. However, one can see much from this small clearing, and are presented with three paths when crossing it. Each path -- the left, right, and middle -- is said to lead you along a winding trail. However, none have said that any of the paths lead to the way out. Vegetation is scarce, but even scarcer is water. When it rains, the sand greedily soaks it up. One should be considered lucky to come across any aide in Inaus.

Board Description
Vitalis
The Labyrinth, and the heart of the Mael. Horses here know where they're going, and new horses simply do not. New horses need to beware and be cautious: one wrong turn, one wrong step, and it could mean danger for them. A horse can easily go insane in the large maze, and they are lucky to find a member of the herd. There are sources of water and food, but they are sporadically scattered -- only a few places remain strong enough sources for the herd itself.
