Shiel is what leads equines to the Southern Shore or vice versa. It is a section of Wailns compromised entirely of small channels that are about knee deep or higher, depending upon the height of the equine wading their way through the dark, murky water. The channels are almost like a complicated piece of lace; they go every which way in and out of the main section of Palmiro, and can often make one get lost if unaccustomed to their pattern. The channels can also lead one to other sections of the marshlands, such as to Raeliel and Vaksiv.
