Denyth
There have been days, that even in the tundra have been too warm for the charcoal stallion. The sun's relentless rays have sent him to the nearest lake in his realm, Bonsenqui. The cool waters were pleasant to the touch as he stepped in. One leg, then the other, until the iced water reached his muscular neck. He stood there for a bit, letting the water seep past his thick coat.
Denyth is the king of these cold lands. In the tundra, the summers don't get amazingly hot, but this year has been warmer then usual, causing his normal thick coat, to make him sweat more then it normally does. He has wandered slowly this way to this lakeside, to cool off, all while wondering, if this summer is hotter, then how will the winter be?
The relaxing sounds around him is one of the reasons he loves this lake, however, without his herd with him today, it started to make him think. God, how he hates thinking, it almost always leaves him to the point of depression, usually of the female variety. He may be king of this land, but there is no queen. He knows it's best for the herd, but no one in his herd would be good enough, nor has anyone qualified have wandered this far north in a while.
Something brushing against his back cannon brought Denyth's attention back on where he was. He lowered his head towards the water to search for the source of the disturbance. A school of Lake Trout, common in this area, were slowly browsing for food around the black and white columns of Denyth's legs. He didn't want to hurt the fish, as they were just living their life, as he was his. Carefully he lift his fore right leg before slamming it back into the silt covered ground, avoiding the trout as much as possible. The school scurried away frightened.
Sighing, he slowly turned around and started making his way towards the lake's shore, sipping the cool water as he went. I should probably return to the herd. God knows, they can't make up their mind about which blade of grass to eat. He thought to himself after a deep sigh. When he finally got to the shore, he shook off the excess water. He started to stroll along the end of the lake, towards where he had left his herd.
