V I L I E X I The summer was warm and gloomy, and this day was not an exception. It was hot but a still breeze want through around her, so it was comfortable. The grass waved around her legs and the tree provided shade. Usually she didn't take time to do this, just relaxing and exist. Mostly she wandered around, meeting people and just being herself. Doing this... It was rare for her. Slowly grazing, her eyes wasn't aware of any other surroundings than the green grass, and the tree above her. But she herself was eye catching. A creamy golden skin with white stripes all over her body and face, all the mane that stood up was striped too, but her forelock was white, as was her tail. A pair of black eyes, a star and heart shaped snip, and a couple of socks on the hind legs. She was a zebroid, a cross between a horse and a zebra, and it showed. Her white stripes was proof of that. She had actually not seen or met anyone that was a zebroid, other than herself, and she had barely even seen her father, the zebra who she had her stripes after. There were those who hated her for her looks, and there were those who loved the stripes and stalked her. She didn't know if she liked it or not, but she had started to ignore both the hate and the admiration. But she still had ambitions to be queen some day, not just because, but because her mother had been one, and her grandmother before that, an she knew that she wanted to do that too. Protecting a herd, protecting those who she loved. But she knew that it wouldn't be easy, but some day, even if she had to fight for i..
She shook her head for a bit, and her short striped mane wiggled a bit, and her long forelock landed between her eyes. She raised her head and looked around her for a while, a bit suspicious about cougars and wolves, they could be lurking everywhere.

Ambition is a scary thing when you pair it with a character like Novak, the bicolor beast is determined as the devil. The aspiration to be king, ah yes… He was sure it crossed everyone’s mind from time-to-time, but few rarely committed to the idea. It wasn’t just the power that he was after, no, not quite. He lusted for the reputation, the knowledge that others would know his name and come to respect it. He was formidable yes, tricky and twisted, but that was the fun of the game he called his life. White from his pink nose to muscled shoulder with an unruly alabaster mane, the fore front of him appeared pure, if a little unkempt from the act of living. The left half of his toned, deep chest broke cleanly into his base coat of near black, the warm splashes of gold at his flanks the only hint to his true color. The stark contrast, when well groomed and in full summer gloss was downright extravagant. His mother had considered him royal in appearance, and he intended to make the sharp-witted mare proud – wherever she may be.
Looks and ambition are only part of the formula for success; you need a Queen, amongst other females. Otherwise what is the point of ruling over an empty domain? Little to none really, in fact it’d be downright drab and futile; especially when the time came to defend one’s so-called kingdom. He scoffed outwardly at the idea, flaring his large nostrils and shaking his refined head. It was in this act that something caught his attention, a mare, her scent carried to him on the summer breeze. Novak raised his head and ceased his aimless wandering, his oddly matched eyes scanning the area in the direction of her scent. There she was, and damn, there she was! He had never seen anything like her, her mane was short and upright, her creamy golden body was painted with white stripes and just damn… He had to have her, but no doubt she had been approached by many admirers due to her appearance, just strolling over there and hitting on her wouldn’t do the trick.
So began the game. His legs kicked into motion, carrying his proud frame towards her, his head was raised and a warm nicker escaping his lips in greeting. He began to circle her, his attitude shifting abruptly as his slender limbs took sure, calculated strides around the mare. He looked her over, tsking critically as he went. “No, definitely white stripes on cream, not cream on white.” He nodded as if agreeing with a college. “Easily confused from a distance I assure you.” He continued circling her, if only because his limbs were eager for movement, and he disliked the idea of standing still long enough for the mare to assess him. The former was primarily due to his upbringing, being raised in Winril will give you restless leg syndrome. The latter, well he knew he was gorgeous; he didn’t need to be overwhelming her with his above par beauty. It had happened once, quite tragic really, but it made an easy lay out of the victim. That wasn’t his goal here, not yet anyways, maybe later once she’d been completely enthralled by him.
His eyes watched her calmly as he slowed his pace. “I’m not crazy I assure you miss, just plagued with an insatiable curiosity, and you, well you are something else entirely.” His masculine voice was tainted with an incredulous tone as he spoke; it then switched over to a friendly tune. “Pardon my manners; I’m Novak, and yourself?” He finally ceased his circling, ending the cycle near her shoulder. There he waited patiently to see how she would respond, his eyes vigilantly observing and assessing as he waited out the silence.
OOC: I totally didn't take into account where they were.. bleh

V I L I E X I Vili was normally used to getting attention y others,a nd she was sick of it. many times she wished that she had been just a normal horse, and sometimes she just loved to be unusual. It all depended on her mood for the day. This day? it was a bit of both, so when a stallion came against her after she had seen him a few dozens meters away, she wasn't really in the mood for hearing that she was pretty, but still, she wouldn't really mind or do anything if anyone did so. She wouldn't really react either if somebody said that she was ugly and a freak. This stallion, unusual as he was in his coloring, didn't do what most other horses used to do; stare at her. Instead he was trotting around her, and the tree obviously, as she was standing close to it, and he looked very curious. He was handsome, and she could probably watch him for hours, especially his eyes and the sleek muscles of his body. He was taller than her, and it made her feel smaller and more delicate than she used to, and she actually liked it. She liked to feel small, and she was delicate in her built. Her long tail, it touched the ground a little, was silky, and her mane would have been too, if it's wasn't short and standing right up, but it looked soft anyways. Her forelock was very long too, like it tried to compensate for the lack of long hairs in her mane.
His voice, that voice that told her that it absolutely was white on cream and not the either way around, and when he apologized for his manners, he sure was curious, she looked at him with the black of her eyes, deep and almost shimmering like night skies with little stars in it, they were the only dark thing on her. The rest of her were cream and white, like milk and very light honey. "Viliexi." She said her name short but not abrupt, the voice was soft and a bit curious, and her ears was pointed to wards him, with the delicate tips of her ears pointing in to wards each other, not much, but just a little, like most hotbloods had. Maybe her answer had been a little short, but it was he who had approached her, so he had to work a bit for it.

An interesting name for an interesting mare… Her interest in him was apparent, it was that all telling flick of the ears that gave her away. Sure she was playing hard to get, but there was no harm in that, as far as Novak was concerned that slight adjustment of her ears was a dead set “yes, I’m all yours”. No degree of coyness would deter the inevitable. He dipped his head to her, replying as his alabaster face returned to its usual position. “A pleasure I’m sure.”
So where to go from here? She hadn’t left him with much to go off, aside from general body language and that interesting name of hers. He looked at her quietly as he considered how to go about acquiring her for himself. He ever so wanted to be blunt, just outright tease her with the idea of being in the presence of royalty. She had that vibe to her, a tangible lust for power. It was a good thing; he did after all need a queen. Though there was always that feisty little mare he had already acquired he was yet to be sure of whether to place her as queen or vicerine… His eyes had grown distant with thought; a series of blinks returned him to the present, and the hybrid mare still watching him intently. He didn’t apologize for his mental absence; it had been but an insignificant moment.
“Mind if I call you Vi?” A pet name, how sweet of him, it was damn near gag worthy. “I have a question to ask of you Vi, a tad hasty perhaps, but what’s the harm in that really. The worst that could happen is you saying no.” Or you finding out what I’m really like… Ain’t that just the punch line to life. A soft smile had been placed upon his lips, the reassuring sort that usually only the innocent could pull off. Oh, but damn was he good. “You see miss Vi I happen to be king of the land you've so happened to wander upon.” His tone was relatively soft, matter-of-fact, not threatening in the least. "I dare say you add a touch of glamor to the place, you should stay a while. After all a king does get lonely, what with only one brood and no queen to keep me on my toes I'm practically dying of boredom these days." The innocent smile warped into a smirk as he let the words sink in. If he was right, and he usually was due to his excellent ability to judge character, she would be eager to join him - even if she didn't initially give into the temptation, the possibilities would nag at her.
There was a catch to her though, as he had made note of before. She was liable to beat around the bush, say no initially and insist to know him better or something along the lines of that. It wasn’t a problem, he knew she would cave into the temptation of prestige soon enough. In the meantime he would wait, quite at ease with the knowledge that he had the upper hand. You see if he was wrong, though he likely wasn’t, and she refused him outright, then he would quickly discipline her for her folly – you play by Novak’s rules, or get broken down, that’s just how things go. It’d be a shame if it came to that, but he’d enjoy every minute of it regardless.
The smirk on hooves awaited her answer. Yes or no miss, choose wisely…
OOC: I know you want her to be Queen, and it’ll happen. He’s just being his jerky self :’D It’ll be messed up, and very Novak, if she says no, he rapes her and then makes her his queen… Drama xD

V I L I E X I When quietly listening for the stallion talking, she nibbled on some grass she had picked up, why not enjoy it while he was the one talking? He seemed to had really gone in for it, to be charming with all his looks and those words. He was a king, according to himself, looking for mares and a queen, and sure, she was curious about the rank as queen, but she wouldn't just throw herself in there without knowing what this was all about. Was he really king of this land? She had certainly never heard of a king named Novak before, so either he was a phony, or he was a very new king. She guessed on the latter, but couldn't be all sure yet. "You must be a rather new king then, Novak, but what you just said, wasn't a question, it was rather a statement. But if it had been a question, I could have answered you really quickly. I wouldn't do well as just a herd member, but I don't think that you want a queen like me either. I will not crawl for anyone, I'm more than a pretty body." With a smile she looked at her with almost mockingly playful eyes. Her tail was held high, almost like a royal, since she was raised like one, and her whole posture was graceful and told about her grace and personality. She could be queen, but she would never crawl for anyone, never be stepped on, but she would protect the ones she loved without hesitation.
"I don't know what you are after, if it's queen or just another herd member, but you have to ask me properly if you want a proper answer, but I will stay a while, even if I don't get accepted into your herd. This is a calm place with plenty of greens and water for everyone, so I won't affect your herdlife if you don't want me close to you." For a second, she turned her head to her left, looking at the tall grass further away, she thought that she had heard something, something that she had listened for all morning. She didn't want a surprise attack by some flesh-eating monster that could easily be avoided if she was just paying a bit attention to the surroundings, like she did now, she hoped that he did too, she had been a little busy talking to him, and forgot about what could be lurking in the grass.

Ah yes defiance, it was all well and good, Novak lusted after mares with a decent backbone to them. There was such a fine line to the quality though, defiance could be a branch off of a powerful, level-headed personality, or less desirable a simply stubborn pig-headed personality. He eyed the mare up, easing back the desire to mount her then and now. She wanted to play games? Insult his ego and traipse around the delicate conversation? By all means, game on. His tail flicked, as if flagging the initiation that had sparked in his mind. ”Relatively new yes, if I was a seasoned ruler I’d be settled by now.” He clacked his teeth slightly, not uncomfortable with making his agitation known to the zebroid. Despite his rumpled ego he managed to smooth over his temper, visibly relaxing as he internally focused on his steady breathing. His eyes otherwise interrupted the meditation, their cool exterior fixated on the mare’s face. She had raised her tail, flaunting her bloodlines expertly and unwittingly bathing his senses in a wash of her pheromones. It was after all spring, his loins ached at the thought, the temptation to have so desirable a gem. He was indeed so caught up in his lusting for her that her words nearly went in one ear and out the other. Nearly that is, he was glad for her long-winded reply for if she had kept to a short and sweet statement he might not have been able to push back his instincts. His eyelids batted, as if abashed by her clear self-importance. ”My dear.” He spoke sweetly, a note of feigned shock lacing his voice. ”How silly of me to be so vague, shame on me.” How silly indeed… He scoffed inwardly.
Long limbs carried him to her side, his glossy pelt twitched but once, urging back his desires. He settled for a light touch of his muzzle upon her side, the unmodified act of breathing carrying her scent deep within his sinuses, lighting his senses on fire. If only he could have her now and talk later, it’d be so much easier to keep his composure. A hind hoof rose to idly kick at his side, it was interruption enough to bring him back to his senses. Get a grip on yourself Novak! It’s not like its been that long since you’ve been with a mare… Oh but it has. Damn it all. He fluttered his ears, and looked to her refined face, his expression stern as he spoke. ”A queen is not expected to crawl, why else place her above the rest?” He scoffed before continuing. ”I’d have you as whatever you’re suitable for. If you have as firm a mind as you seem to then I wouldn’t hesitate to crown you. On the other hand if you’re just another conniving, hard headed flirt then I’m not against putting you in your place.” Nearer the end of his reply his ears had flipped back, mostly due to the memory of the mares he had encountered. They were all so… so goddamn useless. Nothing but flirts that expected to be treated like royalty, it made him sick. As much of a dick as he was, he could value sound minded mares, especially the ones that kept him on his toes, albeit he still preferred being on top. There was indeed such a thing as too good as far as Novak was concerned, whether or not Vi would fall into that category was yet to be perceived.
”So, a proper question then.” He pulled himself up to his full height, proud, and royal by design, he was a truly magnificent sight in the spring sunshine. ”Do you, or do you not feel adequate to be the queen of Tjos? Be so kind as to elaborate why.” He watched her expectantly, his tail swishing idly as the cogs of his devious mind whirred about. If no, then there will be a tax for loitering on my land, say... a piece of that fine ass. He smiled, it was a simple, friendly expression despite the true reason for it having crossed his lips. At this point his mind was set on having her, whether permanently or not – she would be his.

V I L I E X I Even though he corrected his words and asked her correctly, it was with a smile, or sort of at least. She could easily note his agitation, and she knew what was the problem for him, she knew that she smelled good, good for any stallion that is. It was spring and her hormones was racing just as much as his, it was just more noticeable in stallions most of them time, they had that instinct of reproduce that mares didn't lack, but theirs weren't as obvious, most of the time at least. "If you would see me fit as a queen, it's the position that I would rather have, as I know that I wouldn't be a good herd member if I couldn't respect the current queen." She was just being honest about that, she couldn't follow a queen, or a king for that matter, if she didn't hold respect for the individual, she was too dominant, too stubborn for it, as she had said before, she didn't crawl for anyone. She tossed her head to get a fly away from her neck, it was itching alot, but she couldn't reach it, so her skin twitched, and her short mane wasn't helpful either. This time her long forelock spread out over her forehead, showing the star, and letting her black eyes see through the white of the forelock.
"How would I elaborate why? I'm stubborn and have a firm mind, but is equally as kind and respectful to those who have earned it. Both my mother and grandmother before her was queens, and I strive after being as fair and good as they was, if I am ever to become queen." She wasn't speaking as she would be trying to be exact like them, because she could never be, they weren't the same personalities, but they shared many traits, and she was looking forward to develop this traits further, as far as she needed it to be. But she believed in justice and respect, and therefor also kindness when somebody had earned the respect. Secretly, she was also a lover of foals, she became mild and soft every time she saw one, she just couldn't help it. But that was a secret she kept for herself at the moment, and she had no plans on getting foals of her own if she wasn't in a herd and respected the king, trusted him enough to be the father, after all, she didn't know just how fertile she was, if she was. She had hear about zorses before, although she didn't know many at all, that had been infertile, or just able to get one foal. She hoped that she wasn't either of them.

”It’s settled then.” He nodded abruptly once she had finished her bout of speech. ”Be my queen, I won’t take no for an answer. However…” He paused, looking her over again as if to refresh the memory of her luxurious appearance. ”If another mare sees fit to challenge your title that is your problem. Should you be usurped you will be nothing more than a common brood is that clear? Keep in mind that my taste in mares is… potentially disastrous.” He laughed in earnest, shouldering the zorse lightly.
His mind was on fire. Had he just made this stranger his queen? On what grounds? That she was beyond special in regards to her looks and he had to have her? Perhaps it was her smart ass attitude. Hell Novak didn’t know why he did half the things he did anymore. However, this did pose a slight problem, as Aiden had been promised a position of power… He shrugged off the thought, Aiden wasn’t here just now, she wouldn’t be for a while yet due to that bastard child of hers. Certainly no kingdom could go without a queen for too long, and sadly he couldn’t wait up on Aiden much longer. There was of course still the position of Vicerine. In fact the more he thought it over the more it seemed suitable for her. She was by no measure a common brood, but at the same time she was far too antisocial to be an appropriate queen.
Novak tossed his head and snorted before settling his muzzle upon his newly appointed queen’s withers. He inhaled greedily, and nibbled absent mindedly while his eyes and ears focused on her response. He wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. Shock perhaps, there was a slight possibility that she would become angry with him for touching her. There was even the distinct possibility that she would take everything gracefully in stride and simply act as if what had just happened, and continued to happen, was perfectly natural.
Although he was eager to take in her response he was also painfully aware of how close he had pressed himself against her. The hasty decision of announcing her his queen had just been made and already he was lusting to consummate the relationship. Albeit it was in his nature to be so hasty it seemed. That was the nature of force claiming and rape was it not? He rubbed his alabaster head along her shoulder soothing his fiery mind as if it was an itch.
