DISORDER HEAVEN suli & falcon What a long and dramatic road the mare had been on in her short life. Four years old and she was already the queen of a beautiful and mountainous range. She still remembered her days as a loner not to long ago. She still remembered being rejected and left behind on countless occasions. Nobody had wanted her or cared about her. She’d just been a waste of space. But then her life changed for the better. A certain stallion had come along and saved her life, and she’d bound herself to him ever since. Falcon could be a scary male at times and she had witnessed such when he’d fought and killed this realm’s previous owner. Suli would of run away at the sight of it, for she had been watching the entire time, and the now dead old king had tried to harm her. He’d tried to beat her and mount her when she’d been least expecting it, which was always terrifying to a mare when she was not used to such things. Luckily, Falcon had been there to save her and punish her attacker before he had done any damage. But did that make her mate’s actions were just? She’d pondered over this over the last several months. Never had she supported violence.
The dunskin mare lowered herself to the ground near a lone and rather grim looking tree. Unique trees always provided her comfort for some reason. They always made her feel shielded from the evils of the world. The soft grasses provided her with a comfortable bed, a far cry from the rocky and mountainous place she usually spent her time in these days. Suli had grown up some since she had met Falcon. Where the Freelands had been peaceful and rather safe, this land was dangerous and the steepest areas of the range were hard to climb. Though today, she had made sure to avoid the mountains, and was only able to see their outlines from where she lay so far away.
A breeze carried with it the smell of her familiar friend; Falcon. With her mane fluttering around her neck in the wind she picked up her head a little, audible pricking forward as her eyes searched around her for her mate, offering a small nicker to him in case he was close enough to hear. The grasses around her were to high for her to see anything well over, besides the forest behind her and the tips of the mountains miles away. And despite the slight fear she had felt when Falcon had killed another horse, she still loved him deeply and craved his company. There was, however, always a nagging fear he would turn on her.

The overo brute still could not believe what his life had become. Not that there were any complaints, of course. What he had was something he had dreamed over since he was just a yearling. He had thought his life had ended back when he was three years old, where a brush fire had taken away his whole family, along with his mate. Never to see them again. The depression that he withheld was rather intense, he spent his days alone. Most of the time just standing in one spot, the entire day. Not moving more than a foot or two. Although one day he had decided to be somewhat adventurous, in which that ended with him meeting a mare by the name of Suli. They hadn't gotten much conversation in before another brush fire had taken place, driving them from their safe haven. Their home. Falcon had to resort to violence to get the mare to move from the tree she had been glued to. Ever since then, the two were basically inseparable. Even where til this very day, and you know what? He wouldn't take back a single thing.
It was a rather horrific story on how Falcon had acquired the very lands that he walked upon, the very lands that he so very proudly called his. The battle had been a very tiresome one, but he had been so fueled by absolute rage, he hadn't even hinted the exhaustion his body had felt. No one would even dare touch his Suli. Now, Falcon was a pretty kind, down to earth, laid back stallion. Many would say he had an old soul, he was very wise for his years. But that definitely did not mean that he didn't have a vicious side. He was particularly possessive of things that belonged to him, especially Suli. He had lost his previous mate, he was not about to lose her. Not to anyone, or to anything. Not if he could help it. Quite honestly, Falcon had a problem if any other male looked at Suli in anything but a respectful manner. So to put it simply, the previous king of the lands he now called his, had tried something on Suli that Falcon just was not too fond of. Therefore, he did something about it. Which ultimately ended in the other stallion's death, and the title of new king went to Falcon.
Alert eyes scanned over his lands from where he was perched, upon a rather high mountain. Only the strongest of equines were able to get amongst these mountains, which kept Falcon in top shape, maneuvering himself around the steep rocky ledges. All is well, The brute thought to himself as he turned his back to the sky, picking his way down the ledge. Falcon had wandered off to the Raipurr, where his surroundings changed from rocky terrain to his beloved forest. Nostrils flared slightly as he caught the scent of Suli, his ears automatically perked along with the rest of his body. Eyes lit up just as well, her familiar nicker filled his ears. A quick nicker in response bellowed from his stomach and passed through his lips, picking his pace up to a fast trot. In no time, her beautiful hide entered his sight and he felt a sense of warmth and security. "Hello, my love." He cooed, slowing as he reached her. Falcon lowered his onyx colored muzzle to her withers, nuzzling her. He took in her scent, also scanning for any signs of other brute's that may have been around her. Nothing but her own warm scent though, which comforted him all the more. "I have missed you." He spoke softly as he closed his eyes.

DISORDER HEAVEN suli & falcon Images of Falcon harming another horse flashed in her mind. Would he ever do that to her? Up until that point he had been nothing but a pure angel, what with saving her life and all. But she had not yet been able to get over what he had done to her attacker. A selfish part of her, however, was glad he had done it. It had made her feel loved and protected, which was definitely something she craved after years of being deprived. But that other horse had had a life, and maybe there had been some good in him… even though Suli had never seen it, considering what that old king tried to do to her. Maybe she had to much faith in others? Now her mind was split down the middle and she found herself fretting over it way to much for her own good.
Just seconds after she’d sent out her nicker, she got one in return. Head tilted to the side like it often did when she was curious. Before long, the one that had been causing her so much mental trouble appeared, and her heart soared with happiness despite everything going on through her mind. Suli whinnied her greeting to him from her place under her new tree as he approached. If horses could of blushed, she surely would have been red as a tomato when he spoke and nuzzled her. “I missed you, too” she said, looking quite bashful as she told him that. She began to wonder why she had wandered away from him today at all, considering most days she stuck to his side like glue. Falcon was her protector and her first and only love, and she often felt insecure when he was not around to defend her. And now she couldn’t remember her reasoning for leaving his side that afternoon. Perhaps, even if she had grown more mature over the last few months, she was still like a little foal in need of some sort of security.
Suli stood, strong legs lifting her to stand. She felt stronger than she ever had, and she credited both the mountains for building her muscles and her mate for keeping her going. Her side brushed his chest as she found her footing. The simple contact comforted her, and she found herself turning towards him, yet still off to the side. Head gently placed upon the dark coat of his back, she breathed in his scent that eased any fears or worries that she had been feeling, even if most of them had been about him.
"I'm sorry for leaving" she said quickly, as if she were ashamed even though she had only been gone for a few hours. And it wasn't like she was his property... was she? Then again, the thought of him being so protective and possessive over her made her feel quite happy on the inside, even though that said possessiveness had been what caused all the problems in the first place. After the first few years of her life spent not being good enough for others, she was finding it hard to deny Falcon of anything, even if she was now slightly frightened of him.
ooc: I like possessive falcon XD
