Welcome to EQ! While the site is easy to navigate around, (or at least we hope it is), there are plenty of things for you to read upon registering for the site. This is simply a guide to help aide you along the way, should you need to find something or wish to better acquaint yourself with EQ.[/u]
Section I: Joining EQ
- It is required that you read the rules upon joining EQ. The rules can be found be following this link or by going to the Rules sub-forum.
- If you so wish to, feel free to browse through already existing posts in the various lands to get a feel of the general atmosphere for EQ.
Section II: Creating Your Very Own Character![/u]
- Before going to the Creation board, I recommend you take a quick trip to read this thread. It will give you a good, basic idea of the horses that roam EQ. We do not do breeds here at EQ, so peruse through the thread and see what's acceptable and what's not acceptable before making a character.
- Creation time! Go here for the character template you will have to use for your character. Remember that any horse younger than 2 years will need a caretaker!
- You will want to post your character's completed application in the Creation board.
- If you have any questions about your character, feel free to PM one of the staff!
- Once your character has been accepted by an admin, please go to the Taken Names board and post your character's name in the appropriate thread.
Section III: Playing on EQ[/u]
- We have several skins available for use. Feel free to choose whichever skin you like best by going to Modify Profile from your profile page.
- You are free to post where ever you feel like in the lands! Within rules, of course. Unless you plan on having one of your mares join a herd, all mares must remain in their designated board; the same is true for stallions without a couple mares to house a harem with.
- Peruse through the various lands and their descriptions if you aren't sure where to begin and pick the best spot you'd think your character could be found in.
- If you wish to immediately join a herd, post in the desired land and tag the leader!
- You can also start getting into the groove on EQ by starting some plots and even beginning an expansion page. We love plots here on EQ, so feel free to go to the Plotting Board and peruse what is already there or post your own plot thread. The Expansion board for characters can be found here!
