A stretch of grasses at the entrance of the lands, expanding to eventually meet with some of the forestry of the lands, with the Mountains and Heart of Kuylin just off to the side of one's view. This place is essentially the entrance of the lands, and is where most of the patrols are made.

No New Posts The Kurln Mountains

Essentially the home of the Kuylin herd, these mountains tower far over any other part of their territory. While to most this may merely appear as a slab of rock forming into the mighty mountains, to the herd members it is the entrance into the heart of their herd. To access this one must climb (yes, climb.) atop the rocks to reach the heart, where the bulk of the herd lives, which resides on the face of the mountain. This trek is not for the weak, for it is physically demanding, and while predators are less likely to find you, not all horses make it to the heart alive, and not all predators are afraid of heights.

Covell - The Caves [Herd Stats]

Board Threads Posts Last Post
No New Posts Chambers of Ayla

Located far into the caves, and the ending result of winding paths, a world of mystic splendor is brought to view, known as the Chambers of Ayla. Kept stable by the pillars of solid earth that jut from the ground, the wide expansion of land is home to lush vegetation, a clear spring, limestone mountains, and a particularly awe-inspiring creature: the many glow worms that litter the walls and ceiling. Fed through the shafts of the chambers is the Sun's rays, and the shining blues, whites, yellows, and greens of the worms add to an otherworldy feel. This chamber is massive: nearly seven miles long, three miles wise, and almost two miles high. The most precious location to the horses who call the caves home, the Chambers of Ayla are said to be blessed, for it's unusual to have a land underground that is kept alive by the cascading waterfall and plants that were brought from the muddy hooves of horses from years past. The two paths that lead from Ayla's Chambers bring you to Kumiva's path, where one takes you to the entrance in the cave's territory, Dragon's Mouth, and the other takes you to nearly straight to the Jungles of Baandarois.

A coniferous forest in the eastern area of Covell. It is shaped like that of a backwards C, and grasslands surround nearly all of it's edges. It is often covered in a thick mist in the mornings, and golden rays of sunlight streaming through in the afternoons. The trees are close together, and the ground littered with bushes, slippery mosses, and sometimes fallen logs. It is a dangerous place for any unwary horse, for predators have many places to hide.

Capreval is a meadow that is in between the forest of Hanyou and the beaches of Maeko. The grass is lush and green, if coming from the forest, and is often host to equines of all ages. The grass changes as you grow closer to Maeko, before finally giving way to sand dunes all together. The grass in the meadow is edible, despite the various different kinds of grass. The only difference is that as you grow closer to Maeko, the saltier the grass becomes.

The many crevices and mountainous ledges and trails that surround most of the Mael, and tower over the labyrinth that makes up most of the red-rock land. The Labyrinth, and the heart of the Mael. Horses here know where they're going, and new horses simply do not. New horses need to beware and be cautious: one wrong turn, one wrong step, and it could mean danger for them. A horse can easily go insane in the large maze, and they are lucky to find a member of the herd. There are sources of water and food, but they are sporadically scattered -- only a few places remain strong enough sources for the herd itself.

Here lies the Kimt. It is the outer boundaries of this land, and they are perhaps the most dangerous terraign for a horse to live on. The edges suddenly become cliffs with a long way to the bottom. There are a few tall chunks of land that are entirely surrounded by water, and though it appears simple to reach, it is actually quite difficult and extremely dangerous. Horses must take caution around here, for a sudden slip could quite literally lead to death.

Out of all the land masses that surround the side of Tjos, D'saki is the largest of them. Two smaller land masses lie father along the side of the Hills, but accessing one alone is dangerous enough. D'saki is connected to Tjos through a descending land bridge (much like the one that connects Tjos to Eilkasun). There is vegetation and water here, and a horse could thrive easily, but one should take caution as not to slip -- it would certainly lead to a plunge into the ocean, and almost certainly death.
